An amazing amount of detail goes into creating a brand. The brand Jason Wu is a fictional fragrance line inspired by and infused with Chinese teas. Endless amounts of research on the culture, the market, and the man himself, Jason Wu, was necessary in order to start on the journey of creating the brand. The process of the concepting, brand essence, tone, and use of color and logos of the brand is all explained in the Branding Guidelines Manual. After all the research was complete, I was able to visualize how I wanted the physical product line to look. Using my knowledge in package design, I created a system of six different scents, each having a box and a bottle.
